Create Like the Legends

Build real walking basslines through the blues by studying the legends and applying it in real time.

This 6-week small-group course is designed to develop your time, feel, and ability to create walking basslines with confidence. You’ll work with focused excerpts from Ray Brown, Percy Heath, and Sam Jones—learning how their lines move through harmony and how to apply those ideas to your own playing.

Each session centers around one concept, immediately applied through a structured practice system so you’re not just learning lines—you’re learning how to create them.

Built around the blues as a jazz form, this course allows you to focus deeply on musical movement, phrasing, and feel within a clear harmonic framework.
